For those of you who remember my father, Ivor Jones, he sadly passed away Thursday night after a short battle with pneumonia at the grand age of 89. He revitalised the club in the 1990’s getting us from 6-7 players per match to actually have team selections!
During his time in the club until the mid 2000’s he took on the unheralded roles of treasurer, secretary, fixture secretary, team selector, scorer and umpire, who would only give you out on the front foot as he could then see you!
His funeral will be on Friday 22nd March at Stour Provost church and any who would like to attend are more than welcome.

2018 Saw our most succesful season as a club and we plan on going from strength to strength, or at least pub to pub!
The Christmas meal is booked for Saturday 1st December at the Ship Inn and we have 26 people going. The menu is on the pubs website which can be found under our sponsor page.
The double net that we hoped to get up and running before the end of season will now be opened in 2019, our 31st season as a club. When I joined the club in 1989 as a fresh faced school boy we had a dangerous cement base and a cocunut matting that was laid down for us for preseason practice. The nets took ages to put up and were not particulary safe -I think its the reason why most of the club were back foot specialists back in the day!
